OIL PAN AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL VII. UNIT REMOVAL 1. Ensure the oil is drained from the transmission. 2. Untighten the oil pan bolts & Take off the pan and oil pan gasket. 3. Remove the oil filter. 4. Untighten and remove the bolts of the hydraulic control unit indicated (in a circle) below. 5. Take the HCU from the housing and disconnect the seven internal cable harness connectors.
