Apply the sealant to the Bedplate as shown in 11. below image. Assemble the bed plate in given sequence with 12. 100% of the final torque & angle (50Nm ± 5 Nm with 120° ± 15°). 1. Tighten to 50Nm ± 5 Nm (5kgfm ± 0.5 kgfm) as mentioned below. 2. Turn the bolt 120° ± 15° in sequence as mentioned below. Alternately all screws to be machine tightened 13. simultaneously in each step. Tighten the outer mounting bolts of the bed 14. plate in sequence as shown below. Fix the dial gauge and check crankshaft axial 15. play. It should be within specified limit (0.1 to 0.3 mm). Check for free rotational torque. 16. Apply the sealant on outer surface of the oil 17. seal. Assemble Rear oil seal. 18. NOTE Bolts to be oiled at threads and seating • surface. Do not Reuse the bed plate mounting bolts. • NOTE Apply sealant to bolt no. 5 and 6. • NOTE Ensure the crankshaft is free in rotation. • Ensure the dowel pin. • NOTE Mating surfaces of crankcase and rear cover • should be cleaned.
