TIAGO/TIGOR ICNG TWIN CYLINDER - SERVICE MANUAL

1.2L REVOTRON TWIN CYLINDER CNG ENGINE 103 Working Principle: The regulator supplies gas at the working pressure to the injectors. This is done by decreasing the pressure of the gas coming from the CNG tank (normally at 200bar) by expansion process. The output pressure is calibrated to maintain constant output pressure of 4 bar. Mounting Location: Pressure regulator is mounted in the Engine compartment on the firewall. A solenoid valve is integrated on the inlet of the pressure regulator. Technical Specifications of Solenoid coil: Nominal Voltage: 12V DC Operating voltage: 8V to 16V Current Consumption: 0.6 to 1.85 (at 20 degree Celsius) Resistance: 8.65 to 9.95 Ω (at 20 degree Celsius) The CNG Pressure Regulator is not a serviceable part. The CNG Pressure Regulator is not a serviceable part and it cannot be dismantled for service/but to be replaced with new one in case of any failure. However high pressure sensor, inlet connector and filter with gasket can be replaced on regulator removed from vehicle 5. LP Filter The low pressure particulate filter is located in between the Pressure regulator and CNG rail. This unit separates the impurities present in the gas from going towards the injector and engine. It can filter particles up to 2 microns. NOTE Filter with gasket to be replaced at every 70,000 Km 6. CNG Filling Receptacle Function: An NGV 1 type fast filling valve is fitted in this vehicle. At the CNG filling station, the CNG gun is locked on to the CNG receptacle and flow of gas is initiated. The filling receptacle serves the following functions: An NGV type filling receptacle facilitates fast filling of CNG into the cylinder. Filter the CNG of dirt and impurities from entering the vehicle CNG circuit. To prevent back flow of gas from the vehicle circuit to the outside. Check valve The Receptacle valve is provided with an inbuilt check valve or non-return valve which ensures that there is no back flow of gas from the vehicle circuit to the outside. Filter The Receptacle valve has a filter of 50 microns (Self-cleaning type) to protect the vehicle CNG circuit from external particles and impurities which may cause blockage. O-ring The O-ring within the receptacle is specially designed to withstand the harsh environment of a CNG vehicle. The O-ring does not come in the direct path of the gas and is enclosed within a groove so that there is no direct contact with gas during filling and has a longer service life. Mounting Location: CNG Receptacle valve is fitted near petrol filling location under front bonnet.
