ELECTRICAL 5 WARNING: Running the Petrol fuel tank too low or empty can cause engine to stall and could endanger User and passengers. User must stop and obtain additional Petrol fuel as soon as possible after Petrol low fuel warning telltale turns ON. Do not continue adding Petrol fuel after the automatic shut off function is operated if it is equipped on the Petrol fuel pump. The sensor in the Petrol fuel tank may misjudge the amount of Petrol fuel remaining. Petrol Low fuel warning symbol shall blink if there is any fault in the system. Take vehicle to the Tata Motors authorized service station if the symbol starts blinking. CNG Fuel Gauge The CNG gauge indicates the CNG available in the tank published by EMS on CAN from “E” to “F”. The red LED bar at ‘E’ indicates CNG volume is less in the tank. When the ignition switch is in “ON” position, CNG fuel LED gives an approximate indication of the amount of CNG fuel in the CNG Cylinder. “F” stands for full and “E” stands for Empty. When CNG fuel in the CNG Cylinder is near to empty position, CNG low fuel Text warning and Chime turns ON for 4 Seconds. Refill the CNG Cylinder as soon as possible. If CNG fuel is not filled even after CNG Low fuel Text warning and Chime, then First bar in CNG fuel gauge will start blinking to indicate more severe CNG low fuel warning. NOTE: When the ignition switch is in the “ON” position, this gauge gives an approximate indication of the amount of CNG fuel in the CNG Cylinder and it takes few seconds to stabilize after the ignition is turned ON. Fuel Gauge bar graph Two Step Low Fuel Warning: When fuel on the tank is near to empty position (2nd Bar OFF and 1st bar ON), low fuel warning tell tale turns ON. If fuel is not filled even after First warning, 1st bar starts blinking with low fuel warning telltale ON. Fuel Level Sensor Failure: In case of fuel level sensor failure, low fuel warning tell tale will blink. Caution: On inclines, curves, braking and sudden acceleration due to the movement of fuel in the tank, the fuel level display may fluctuate or the low fuel level warning lamp may illuminate earlier than usual. Always check the fuel level when the vehicle is on level road. Welcome Strategy At every key IN and Ignition ON, all gauges will sweep up to maximum position and come back to minimum during initial 4 seconds. Along with gauges sweep, tell-tale pre-check happens simultaneously. These sweeps will indirectly simulate ‘HI’ when customer enters the CAR. For next Ignition cycles with key IN, this strategy will be disabled and only tell-tale pre-check will happen.
