9. Spread the liquid red sealant on crankcase without spilling the sealant in oil paths / inside the block. Insert the hollow dowels (8 nos) into the 10. crankcase. Assemble the lower bearing shell to the 11. bedplate. (Apply the coat of engine oil.) Assemble the bed plate by tightening the 12. mounting bolts. Sequence for tightening bolts to be followed as mentioned below Assemble block bedplate in given sequence • 30% of the final torque and angle (15Nm +40°) then loosen all bolts. Assemble block bedplate in given sequence • 30% of the final torque and angle (35Nm +85°) then loosen all bolts. Assemble block bedplate in given sequence • 30% of the final torque and angle (50Nm ± 5 Nm with 120° ± 15°) then loosen all bolts.
