Take out the engine and transaxle assembly 36. along with support stand. Remove the starter motor, alternator along with 37. its mounting brackets. Remove the engine wiring harness. 38. Remove the transaxle from the engine. 39. Fix the LH & RH mounting brackets to the 40. engine. Safely lift the engine with the help of crane and 41. fix it on overhaul stand. ENGINE INSTALLATION FOR MT VEHICLE • Engine installation is generally reverse of 1. removal. Make certain all hardware is tightened to appropriate torque specification. Prior to installing the engine, inspect the 2. condition of the rubber on the engine mounts. Replace the engine mounts if the rubber is damaged. Install the starter motor, AC Compressor, 3. alternator along with its mounting brackets. Mount the transaxle back onto the engine. 4. Tighten the bolts with specified torque. With the vehicle raised on the vehicle lift hoist, 5. place the engine underneath the vehicle, aligned with the engine compartment. Slowly and carefully lower the vehicle body over 6. the engine. Connect the lifting crane to the engine with a 7. chain / belt. Raise the hoist slightly to apply lifting tension to the engine. With the engine attached to the crane, remove 8. the support stand. Secure the engine in the vehicle by attaching 9. the “C”, “A” and “B” mounting brackets. Tighten the mounting bracket hardware at specified torque. Verify all the engine and other components will not make direct contact or vehicle damage will occur.
