10 ENGINE2.2LDICOR Inspection Inspect theAC Compressor belt for wear, cracks and signs of failures. Replace if necessary. Fitment Install the belt over crank shaft pulley, AC Compressor pulley and belt tensioner. Rotate the belt tensioning screw in anticlockwise direction till correct belt tension is set. Tighten the tensioner mounting nut with 4 Kgm torque. Check belt tension. Check the frequency in SPAN (AC to damper) with CLAVISgauge Frequency should be 200+10Hz for new belt. Belt to be re-tensioned to 180+10Hz on vehicle after running for 15mins. ALTERNATOR/POWER STEERING PUMPBELT Removal Remove the belt tensioner cap and loosen the tensioner (Fig. 4) Relieve the belt tension by rotating the tensioner screw in clockwise direction (Fig. 5) Fig. 4 Fig. 5
