Rear Axle 27 pin bottoms out, stake (Peen) a little metal over the edges in two places 180°Apart. 5.0 AXLE SHAFT DIS-ASSEMBLY & REASSEMBLY 5.1 DIS-ASSEMBLY OF AXLE SHAFT ASSEMBLY Tone Ring Removal Mount Axle shaft stand on the shop table & firmly fit with bolts, Mount the removed axle shaft assembly on this stand. Note: Ensure Cleanliness of the stand & is damage free. Dent on the stand may damage the axle shaft flange & in turn results in incorrect brake disc run out. Install the axle shaft bearing puller on axle shaft assembly as shown in figure & remove the tone ring. Locknut Removal Straighten the bent lock washer into Lock Nut with the help of screw driver. Install locknut removal adaptor on lock nut install socket & remove the Lock Nut. Remove Lock Washer & Thrust Washer from Axle Shaft Note: Use New Lock washer while reassembly of axle shaft Bearing Holder Assembly Removal Again Install the bearing puller on axle shaft, & lock the legs of puller under the bearing holder flange securely. Remove the bearing holder assembly by rotating the handle of the bearing puller. Take out the brake assembly from axle shaft.
