FRONT AXLE (4X2) 6 7. Loosen and remove the mounting nut of ARB (Anti roll bar) link assembly from stub axle. ! CAUTION Allen key has to be used to hold the ARB link while loosening or tightening to avoid damage to the link (For removal procedure refer Front Suspension section) 8. Disconnect upper wishbone ball joint. (For procedure refer Front Suspension section.) 0 !! WARNING When the knuckle is disconnected from the upper wishbone the knuckle may fall outwards towards the operator. Hence supporting it is very essential. If proper care is not taken it may cause injury. The upper wishbone might spring upwards when released from knuckle, hence special care should be taken. 9. Disconnect lower wishbone ball joint using puller (Part No. 287058904601).(For procedure refer Front Suspension section) 10.Take out the stub axle assembly along with wheel hub and brake disc. INSPECTION NOTE Do not grease the unitised bearing as it is pregreased for life. Check the condition of the following for wear or damage. If necessary replace with new one. 1. Check the condition of hub for wear / scoring marks. If necessary replace with new hub. 2. Check the condition of wheel bolts for worn out /stripped threads. Replace the bolts if necessary. Bolts are press fitted into the hub.
