GEAR BOX 6450 31 SYNCHRO CONE PACK ASSEMBLY: Two types of synchro pack assembly are as follows: 1. Triple synchro cone assembly. 2. Double synchro cone assembly. DOUBLE AND TRIPPLE SYNCHRO CONE ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE: First place the inner cone, secondly place intermediate cone on it and then place outer cone on it. This enables us to prepare the synchro pack assembly. Place this synchro pack assembly on respective gear assembly and measure cone gap. Difference between double and triple synchro cone. Double Synchro Cone Triple synchro cone Outer Cone having brass lining on inner surface. Outer Cone having carbon lining on inner surface. Inner cone having brass lining only on outer surface. Inner cone having brass lining on both inner and outer surface. Used in the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and reverse gear assembly. Used in 1st and 2nd gear assembly only. SUB ASSEMBLY OF ENGAGING GEARS: It consist of Shifter sleeve, engaging gear and struts. Identify all the gears and needle bearing cages. The gears are to be assembled in pairs of 1st / 2nd 3rd / 4th, 5th/ 6th and reverse. Keep gear such that dogteeth are facing upwards. Fit proper synchro cone. Fit proper engaging gear over synchro cone, fit other pair of gears.
