HVAC 83 During Manual operation, the display of blower speed shall be updated to the current blower speed level (0-7). 2. Temperature selection The temperature selection knob is an encoder that allows the user to select the desired cabin temperature. It shall be possible to select temperatures in the range of 16 oC till 30 oC with a step size of 0.5 oC. The desired temperature selected by the user shall be updated in the display graphics simultaneously as per the rotation of the knob. The set temperature shall be incremented by 0.5oC, when the temperature knob is rotated through a calibratible no. of detents in the Clockwise direction. Similarly, the set temperature shall be decremented by 0.5oC, when the temperature knob is rotated through a calibratible no. of detents in the anti-clockwise direction. Automatic temperature control shall be possible in the range 16oC to 30oC. If the set temperature is reduced below 16oC, it shall activate a Full Cold setting in which the system shall deliver maximum performance for cooling down. Similarly, if the set temperature is increased above 30oC, it shall activate Full Hot setting in which the system shall deliver the maximum performance for warming up. FULL COLD SETTING The system shall adjust the following parameters to enable the Full Cold setting. Maximum blower speed Chest distribution mode Temperature door to Full Cold position Compressor ON (Economy setting shall be overridden) Al in Recirculation The display shall show the letter ‘Lo’ (Cold) instead of the set temperature value .All the above settings shall be reflected by the control head display. FULL HOT SETTING The system shall adjust the following parameters to enable the Full Hot setting. Maximum Blower speed Leg distribution mode Temperature door in Full Hot position Compressor ON (Economy setting shall be overridden) AI in Outside Air (OSA) The display shall show the letter ‘Hi’ (Hot) instead of the set temperature value. All the above settings shall be indicated in the control head display.
