BODY 41 6. Support the tailgate assembly, loosen and remove the mounting bolts and disconnect the balancer from the shell. 7. Remove the top hinge mounting of the tail gate by removing two mounting bolts. Follow the same procedure at the other end and separate the tail gate from the vehicle. ASSEMBLY: For assembly follow the reverse procedure of removal. II. TAIL GATE LATCH SR. NO DESCRIPTION 1 Tailgate latch for centre lock 2 Tailgate actuator 3 Tailgate unlatch handle 4 Tailgate lock barrel 5 Link between latch and actuator 6 Link between latch and unlatch handle 7 Link between latch and lock barrel REMOVAL 1. Remove the tail gate trim. (For procedure refer tail gate trim removal procedure.). 2. Disconnect the link between latch and the tail gate actuator.
