766 BODY Installation 1. Apply the recommended grease to the sliding plates and cable. 2. Engage the latch cable in the groove of the latch 3. Align the latch with the markings and tighten two bolts to specified torque. TIGHTENING TORQUE FOR LATCH BOLTS = 1 Kg-m NOTE : Check proper functioning of hood by opening and closing the hood. If hood doesn’t pop up correctly, recheck and adjust the alignment of latch with the markings. 2. Disengage the latch cable and take out latch. 1. Remove two bolts securing latch to the body. HOOD LATCH Removal NOTE : Before removing mounting bolts of latch, do the markings on body so that while refitting, the lock setting of the hood will not change.
