TRANSAXLE TA6300 48 1.14. REMOVAL OF GEAR SHIFTER HOUSING, GEAR SHIFTER AND SELECTOR CABLE: 1. Ensure the gear lever in neutral condition. 2. Remove Lever knob, washer, cap screw and base plate. (Refer body section). 3. Remove the central floor console. (Refer body section). 4. Pry out both the cable lock plates and remove the cables from assembly gearshift housing. 5. Unscrew the four bolts of gear shifter lever housing to remove it. 6. Pry out the shifter selector cable ends from the transaxle housing. 7. Pull out the plunger from transaxle cable and remove it from the transaxle cable-anchoring bracket. 8. Loosen the cable grommet nut mounting from firewall to remove the assembly.
