STEERING_MANDO 31 B. STEERING HARD COMPLAINT IS HARD Kindly ensure the below check points. 1. Reason for EPAS 2. Light / Indicator ON in Cluster  EPAS system function problem.  EPAS OHP control.  Non OEM electronic fitment issue may affect EPAS functional system.  Wiring harness connection issue. 3. Basic action if the EPAS indicator light ON.  Stop the vehicle in safe zone and restart the engine after 5mins.  If the indicator light on and stay on immediately follow the below check points. SR NO Parameter Check Points Observation/Action by Dealership 1 Customer voice 1. Collect details from end user for complaint condition / field failure phenomena. 2. Check for when, how, where, etc., 2 Test drive vehicle 1. Check for steering feeling hard 2. Check in static / dynamic condition. 3 Warning lamp check 1. Check for steering light ON in cluster (PS light) 2. Ensure continuous glow 4 DTC check 1. Check for DTC with Diagnostic tool. 2. Ensure DTC in active condition. 5 Wiring harness 1. Check EPAS ECU wiring connectors locked properly (Power, CAN, Tq. Sensor & Motor connectors) 2. Ensure any damage / tamper. 6 DTC check 1. Again check for DTC with Diagnostic tool. 2. Ensure DTC in active condition 7 Visual inspection 1. Check for EPAS / ECU related wiring damage. 2. Free from tamper / damage / liquid traces. 8 Visual inspection 1. Check for other additional fitments. 2. Ensure no extra electronic fitments in vehicle connected with power supply with ECU. 3. Electronics like Music player, D/L lighting, GPS, Parking assistance, Reverse camera, etc., 9 Visual inspection 1. Check for EPAS free from damage. 2. Check vehicle RO history. 10 DTC check 1. Check for Vehicle ECU DTC 2. Ensure CAN signal. REMARKS : After confirming the DTC in active state, confirm the part failure by swap test & replace the part.
