Pin-3 connected to BCM Pin_C2_3 for Key ring Illumination input. 4. Pin-4 connected to Vehicle ground. LIN_BASED_IMMOBILIZER WORKING PRINCIPLE: 1. BCM communicates with LIN Based immobilizer base station (LBIBS) via LIN to authenticate transponder. 2. BCM communicates with EMS via CAN to authenticate & Informs the transponder status to EMS. 3. The EMS ECU and the BCM are paired together by an encrypted secret code called as “AES secret key”, to improve the security of the vehicle. This AES secret key is generated using the vehicle identification number (VIN) and it is unique for each vehicle. Both BCM and the EMS ECU are programmed with same
