ELECTRICAL 9 SHORT CIRUIT CONDITION:  Battery negative terminal should be disconnected from battery post to avoid component damage.  Remove all connectors connected in circuit. If any connected to other ECU remove that connections too.  Perform short circuit check between the terminals and ground.  Connect ohmmeter or multimeter at one end of the circuit and ground point, if continuity flows then there is no issue in the connected circuit. IRREGULAR AND POOR SIGNAL On observing irregular or poor connection, kindly check circuits for following failure modes:  Check if connectors are mated properly or not  Check for dirt or any other foreign material on terminals.  Check if connector body has any damage, which can expose terminal to moisture.  Check if terminal has any damage or is badly shaped.  Check for the resistance observed during mating two connectors.  Check if wire is properly crimped to terminals. Check if wire insulation is damaged or not
