BRAKES (EPB) 28 C. FRONT & REAR BRAKE DISC REMOVAL 1. Remove Caliper assembly. (refer procedure of caliper removal 2. Remove the mounting screw of disc & take out the disc. DISC INSPECTION Before assembling the caliper back to the carrier, the disc should be inspected. The disc should be cleaned with dry cloth, oil traces to be wiped out completely. The disc should be free from score marks. If scored, replace with new one NOTE Minimum thickness of front disc = 25mm & Rear Disc = 10mm After fitment, the run out of the disc should be measured. (For procedure refer disc run-out measurement procedure). NOTE Before assembly clean the mating faces of the hub and brake disc. FITMENT For fitment follow reverse procedure of removal. D. REAR CALIPER ASSEMBLY WITH CARRIER REMOVAL 1. Keep the gear shift lever in neutral position. 2. Jack up the vehicle and remove wheels. 3. Start the vehicle. Push down the EPB switch (Parking Brake Switch) on the console. In the condition of pushed down switch, simultaneously turn-off the vehicle. In this procedure parking brake will not apply. Note: By default as we switch off the vehicle parking brake will be applied automatically. In this case caliper will not be free to remove. CAUTION To avoid accidental Rear Brake application, after vehicle off you may disconnect the battery in the engine compartment. 4. Remove hose from caliper body by taking out the banjo bolt and collect the brake fluid from caliper in a clean container. Block the brake hose using a dust cap to prevent loss of brake fluid and prevent contamination and keep the pipe in the vertically up-straight position. 5. Disconnect EPB Electrical Connection on actuator.
