6F33 TRANSAXLE 34 13. REMOVAL OF GEAR SHIFTING CABLE ON VEHICLE: 1. Ensure GSL shifter placed in “N” mode (Neutral mode) before removal the battery. Warning: If vehicle is in ignition-off condition, and Gear shift lever stuck in P mode (Park Mode). Press and hold the release button provided on shifter housing till you move the shifter from P (park) mode to N (Neutral) mode. 2. Remove the battery connection and surrounding air filter parts. 3. Place/lock the transaxle shift lever in “N” mode (Neutral mode) by matching/aligning shift lever hole & Inhibitor switch hole on transaxle with the help of Locking pin tool 541258900605. 4. Remove Nut from Gear shifting cable grommet fitted on chassis firewall. 5. Remove screw & pull out side shield from LH & RH side. 6. Remove Handle from LH & RH side.
