SUSPENSION 11 5. SUSPENSION SYSTEM FRONT SUSPENSION FIG. 1 Front Suspension is McPherson type, independent suspension with the shock absorber and the spring acting as both damping and flexible elements at the same time, structural and kinematic elements. The main components of this structure are: Sheet metal lower control arm with Reinforcements which is considerably lighter in weight as compared to forged lower link. Suspension bushes have been exclusively designed to improve the comfort, adopted asymmetric stiff- ness for the rear LCA bush to reduce the impact harness during acceleration and braking. Vertical member design acts as sub frame and increases suspension structural rigidity, thus improving vehicle NVH & high speed handling. Vertical member suppresses the acoustic excitation of the body struc- ture generated by the road undulation. “Dual path” top mount for improved filtering of road vibrations and noise at the same time guaranteeing excellent structural strength favoring driving precision. Anti-roll bar with Stab link mounted on the shock absorbers that allow improved stabilizing efficiency and better dynamic responsiveness around bends. Double acting telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers with improved lateral rigidity assisting road hold- ing during cornering. Valve assemblies have been selected for excellent vibration damping.
