DRIVETRAIN 375 DRIVETRAIN LAYSHAFTASSEMBLY A. DISMANTLING 3. Remove the rear end ball bearing using the tool no. 2834 5890 26 04 PULLER FOR REMOVAL OF REAR BRG. FROM INPUT SHAFT & LAYSHAFT. 4. Remove the fourth gear wheel (01), Spacer (02) and the Third gear wheel (03). 1. Hold the Layshaft in a bench vice such that the rear half side is on the top. NOTE : To ensure that the gears/ splines do not get damaged by the vice jaws, pad it with wooden pieces or any other softer material. 2. Remove the snap ring using a circlip plier. Note: • Do not reuse the circlip. • Replace the circlip with a new one of the same thickness during assembly.
