ELECTRICAL 32 2.7 DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES – EMS ECU Sr. No P Code Description as per ISO/SAE Fault cause Probable Trouble Area 1 U1009 Vehicle Communication BUS OFF Short Circuit to Battery or Ground 1) Check short circuit between CAN H and CAN L. 2) Check CAN H short to Ground. 3) Check CAN L Short to Battery. 2 U2009 Vehicle Communication Bus Open Circuit Open Circuit of CANH or CANL from ECU Connector Side 1) Check open circuit of CANH or CANL from ECU connector side. 3 U1155 Lost Communication with IPC Message Timeout Failure If ECU does not get Rx messages from IPC for more than 500 msec 1) Check open circuit failure at IPC ECU connector. 2) Check whether IPC ECU is powered or not.
