Loose or damaged connections. P1607 GIL Lamp open/short circuit error Open/short circuit Error OFF OFF OFF 1. Loose or damaged connections. 2) Check the continuity from lamp connector pin to the ECU pins.( ECU pin 236-Instrument cluster pin 14). P1608 Lid sensor Open/Short circuit error Open/short circuit Error ON ON OFF 1) Loose/ Damaged Connections or Intermittent fault. 2) Sensor supply line Short circuit to Battery/ Ground. 3) Sensor Signal line Short circuit to Battery/ Sensor Supply/Ground. 4) Check the continuity from sensor connector pins to the ECU pins.( ECU pin for ground-Sensor pin 1; ECU pin 146-Sensor Pin 2; ECU pin 116-Sensor pin 3). 5) Check for back out of pins at both Sensor connector and ECU connector. 6) Check for damage of pins at both sensor connector and ECU connector. 7) Faulty LID sensor. 8) Faulty ECU.
