AIR INTAKE SYSTEM Air Intake System Schematic Layout 1 Intake Snorkel (Duct) 4 T map sensor 2 Air Filter 5 Intake Manifold 3 Electronic Throttle Control 6 Intercooler  Description Air is drawn into the combustion chamber through the air intake system as shown in above schematic layout. The air is driven to the intake manifold primarily due to the force induction through turbocharger compressor of the engine. The fresh air from the atmosphere is made to pass through air snorkel then through an air filter passing along the turbocharger where it is compressed and to intercooler where the air is cooled and directed toward the throttle body. Throttle body is electronically controlled which control the amount air supplied and then it is drawn into the intake manifold and into the engine.
