During removal process (also after sales services), it must be ensured that the Airbag-ECU and the sensors are not supplied with a supply voltage. BOSCH recommends removing the supply cable from the vehicle battery. It is not allowed to plug or unplug the ECU while a supply voltage is applied to the connector and wiring harness. 5. Before starting the repair process, a time delay from disconnecting power supply of at least 1 min is required to ensure a total discharge of the systems energy reserve. 6. If a module (ECU or sensors) needs to be removed, the electrical connectors should be unplugged before the unscrewing process. Component Location and Naming Convention:
