SRS / Airbag ECU AB12 DTC Troubleshooting Guide Version: 2.0 Date: 21-June-2021 B100C-4A:- Left Side Peripheral sensor Incorrect component installed Overview:- ISO Code B100C4A Customer Symptom SRS Warning Lamp continuously ON in Instrument Cluster. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Left Side crash detection performance is degraded & Left Side angular crash detection is not guaranteed. Lamp Status (If Any) SRS Warning Lamp continuously ON in Instrument Cluster. Fault Detection Condition This fault gets logged if a wrong sensor with different part number is connected in place of Left Side peripheral sensor. Normal Operating Condition Sensor with correct TML Part number as per VC should be connected in place of Left Side peripheral sensor. Probable Trouble Area Related wiring Harness, connector or terminals Left Side peripheral sensor Airbag ECU Airbag Wiring Harness Healing Condition UFS6s Sensor with correct TML Part number ( 542454209940 ) as per VC should be connected in place of Left Side peripheral sensor. Component Details:- (Refer Annexure 2 for Mounting Location of AB12 Airbag ECU) Left Side peripheral sensor : - These sensors are mounted on Left Side “B” pillar at the bottom end. Airbag ECU : - It is fitted in the floor of central console in the car. The Airbag Electronic Control Unit (ECU) controls the deployment system to allow an appropriate igniting of the Airbags and belt pre-tensioners to restrain the Driver and passengers. Preliminary Checks:- 1. Check Battery Voltage (12 V & above) 2. Check for any faults in Airbag Warning Lamp indication in Instrument Cluster. 3. Ensure the proper locking of Airbag ECU wiring harness connectors in the vehicle by the locking sound. 4. Check whether the Left Side peripheral sensor is connected properly to the wiring harness. Ensure the proper locking of the Left Side peripheral sensor to the wiring harness connector.
