START Connect Diagnostic tool and Run Input Test Routine and operate the switches as mentioned in the input switch test routine specification. Is DTC B2232 – 12 logged by Routine? Disconnect vehicle battery connection. (Please follow the safety guidelines) Check BCM and Mirror Fold/Unfold Switch for terminal backout Are connectors loose? 1.Remove BCM Connector. 2.Perform visual check of connectors for pins bent or damaged. Is connector faulty? Check continuity between BCMconnector pin [C4 - 8] Harness side) with battery [C3-2/C3-1] Continuity Found? 1. Remove Internal Unlock Switch 2. Check continuity between BCMharness side connector pin [C4-8] and Mirror Fold/Unfold Switch STOP YES NO YES NO Reconnect connectors firmly Correct connector fault (Terminals Bend) YES NO Correct BCM Sidewiring harness (Short to Battery) NO YES B2232 - 12: Mirror Fold/Unfold Switch - Circuit short to Battery Perform the visual check of connectors for pin bend or damaged Is connector faulty? Check continuity at Mirror Fold/Unfold Switch [C4-8] with ground [C1-34/C1-47] Continuity found? BCM ECU Faulty Correct connector fault (Terminal Bend) Correct connector fault at Mirror Fold/ Unfold Switch mating connector YES NO YES NO Replace BCM ECU Continuity found? YES NO 1. Switch is faulty 2. Replace Mirror Fold/Unfold Switch Check continuity between two terminals of Mirror Fold/Unfold Switch
