U1012 - 12: Wake Up on Entry Signal - Circuit short to Battery Overview: ISO Code U1012 - 12 Customer Symptom BCM does not wake up on smart entry (but wakes up when door opened) - delay to full functionality. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) BCM does not wake up on smart entry (but wakes up when door opened) - delay to full functionality. Lamp Status (If Any) None. Fault Detection Condition This fault will be logged after the input switch test routine execution. User has to operate the switch manually during routine. If short to battery fault is detected for Wake Up On Entry Signal, then this DTC code will be returned with the routine results. Normal Operating Condition There should not be any fault returned by routine. Alarm must not sound and ESS must work properly. Probable Trouble Area 1. BCM connector Fault 2. Wake Up On Entry Signal side wiring harness short to battery 3. Wake Up On Entry Signal is damaged or stuck or faulty 4. BCM ECU fault Healing Condition 1. Ignition OFF  ON 2. Clear DTC Command Component Details: Wake Up On Entry Signal, BCM connector Functionality: If the Wake Up On Entry Signal is short to Battery, then BCM does not wake up on smart entry (but wakes up when door opened) - delay to full functionality. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check Battery Voltage (12.5 V & above) 2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage. Trouble Shooting:
