Trouble Shooting: START Connect Diagnostic tool and check for DTCs Is DTC B1653-06 present? STOP NO Check DTC present is Permanent or Historic Is History? 1. Clear the DTC from memory 2. Turn the IGN to OFF 3. Start the IGN Is DTC B1653-06 present? YES NO YES YES NO Disconnect vehicle battery connection. (Please follow the safety guidelines) 1. Check CAN connection between BCMand EMS 2. Check pairing status of BCM and ECM Are connectors loose? Reconnect connectors firmly YES 1. Remove BCM side wiring harness Connector. 2. Perform visual check of connectors for pins bent or damaged. 3. Wrong Transponder key. Is connector faulty? Correct connector fault (Terminals Bend) YES NO NO A B B1639 – 06 : LBIBS Module - Transponder Key Authentication Failure – Algorithm Based Failures Is DTC B1639-06 present? NO Check the ASK-Key code from BCM and ECM Is BCMASK-Key Code matched? YES YES Keep the ASK-key code as per ECM in BCM NO
