Trouble Shooting:- Normal vehicle setup start Connect Diagnostic tool and Run Input switch test routine and read DTC. Is DTC B2238-23 NO YES Stop Remove Vehicle Battery connections. (Please follow safety guidelines) 1) Remove BCM connector and check for backout/ pins bend/ damages. 2) Remove the fascia switch connector and check for backout/ pins bend etc. Yes YES Check continuity between 1) BCM connector A pin 51 and body GND in the harness connector. 2) BCM connector A pin 51 and Conn A pin 34/ 47 Yes Correct the wiring harness short and open circuit reconnect the vehicle battery and BCM Remove the Fascia switch and connect other working fascia switch. Do all the initial vehicle setup(vehicle batt connection etc) No Any fault observed Correct the fault No Any continuity observed No B2238-23 Rear Defogger switch circuit short to GND Replac e the ECU Is the rear defogger working properly Yes
