START Connect Diagnostic tool and Run Input Test Routine and operate the switches as mentioned in the input switch test routine specification. Is DTC B1620 - 12 logged by Routine? Disconnect vehicle battery connection. (Please follow the safety guidelines) Check BCM and Other doors switch connectors for terminal backout Are connectors loose? 1.Remove BCM Connector. 2.Perform visual check of connectors for pins bent or damaged. Is connector faulty? Check continuity between BCM connector pin [C1-14] Harness side) with battery [C3-2/C3-1] Continuity Found? 1. Remove Other doors switch 2. Check continuity between BCMharness side connector pin [C4-5] and Other doors switch [C102-1, C104-1, C105-1] STOP YES NO YES NO Reconnect connectors firmly Correct connector fault (Terminals Bend) YES NO Correct BCM Sidewiring harness (Short to Battery) NO YES B1620 - 12: Other Doors Switch - Circuit short to Battery Perform the visual check of connectors for pin bend or damaged Is connector faulty? Check continuity at Other doors switch [C102-1, C104-1, C105-1] with ground [C1-34/C1-47] Continuity found? BCM ECU Faulty Correct connector fault (Terminal Bend) Correct connector fault at Other doors switch mating connector (Open Circuit) YES NO YES NO Replace BCM ECU Continuity found? YES NO 1. Switch is faulty 2. Replace Other doors switch Check continuity between two terminals of Other doors switch
