B1620 - 12: Other Doors Switch - Circuit short to Battery Overview: ISO Code B1620 - 12 Customer Symptom 1. Interior Roof lamp in Auto mode selection doesn’t operate when Other Doors is/ are opened. 2. The IC shows Other Doors as closed status, even if the Other Doors is opened as presumed by the customer. 3. The Mis-lock sound does not occurs on RKE lock command. 4. The vehicle will get lock on RKE lock command. NOTE: Here, Other Doors means Passenger door, Rear Left Door and Rear Right Door Fault Effects (On Vehicle) 1. Interior Roof lamp in Auto mode selection does not operate when Other doors is/ are opened. Lamp Status (If Any) 1. Roof lamp in Auto mode selection is OFF. 2. IC shows Other Doors closed status always Fault Detection Condition This fault will be logged after the input switch test routine execution. User has to operate the switch manually during routine. If short to battery fault is detected for Other Doors Ajar Switch, then this DTC code will be returned with the routine results. Normal Operating Condition There should not be any fault returned by routine Probable Trouble Area 1. BCM connector Fault 2. Left side and Right side wiring harness Short to battery 3. Other Doors Ajar Switch is damaged or stuck or faulty 4. BCM ECU fault Healing Condition 1. Ignition OFF ON 2. Clear DTC Command Component Details: Other Door Ajar Switch, BCM connector Functionality: If the Other door state is short to Battery, then the Other door state is in closed state. If the Other door is closed, then BCM shall receive the feedback of Other doors as closed status. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check Battery Voltage (12.5 V & above) 2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage. Trouble Shooting:
