B2218 -11: Headlamp Auto On Enable Switch - circuit short to ground START Connect Diagnostic tool and Run Input Test Routine and operate the switches as mentioned in the input switch test routine specification. Is DTC B2218-11 logged by Routine? Disconnect veh icle battery connection. (Please follow the safety guidelines) Check BCMand comb i switch connectors for terminal backout Are connectors loose? Correct connector fault (Terminals Bend) 1.RemoveBCM Connector. 2.Perform visual check of connectors for pins bent or damaged etc . Is connector faulty? STOP 1. Put combi switch in Auto state. 2. Check continuity between BCM connector p in [C4-11] Harness side) with Ground [C1-34/C1-47] Continu ity Found? 1. RemoveCombi switch mating connector 2. Perform visual check of connectors for pin bend or damaged etc. Reconnect connectors f irmly Connector Faulty? Correct Connector fault (Terminal Bend) BCMECU Faluty Rep laceBCM ECU NO YES YES NO YES YES YES NO NO NO Check if Combi switch Auto beam input [wiring harness side] is shorted to ground Correct combi switch sidewiring harnes s (Short to Ground) Check if comb i switch is faulty / two terminals of Auto position are shorted to each other or shorted to ground p in terminal Switch Faulty? Rep lace comb i switch 1.Remove all BCM connectors 2.Take out Auto position wire [C4-11] from connector 3.Reconnect all connectors including battery 4.Check if Low beam And Position lamp is ON? Low Beam & pos ition lamp ON? Reconnect all connectors f irmly YES NO YES NO Correct BCMside wiring harness ( Short to Ground) Continu ity Found? YES NO
