B2218 - 11: Headlamp Auto On Enable Switch - Circuit Short to Ground Overview: ISO Code (DTC Code) B222E - 11 Customer Symptom Low beam and position lamps always ON due to auto lamp features. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) 1. Low beam and position lamps always ON due to auto lamp features. 2. Battery Drain Lamp Status (If Any) Continuous Low beam position lamps always ON. Fault Detection Condition This fault will be logged after the input switch test routine execution. User has to operate the switch manually during routine. If short to ground fault is detected for auto enable switch then this DTC code will be returned with the Routine results. Normal Operating Condition There should not be any fault returned by routine Probable Trouble Area 1. BCM connector Fault 2. Auto Main beam switch input short to ground from cockpit wiring harness 3. Auto Main beam switch damaged or stuck 4. Combi switch connector fault. 5. BCM ECU fault Healing Condition 1. Ignition OFF  ON 2. Clear DTC Command Component Details: Auto Main beam switch is part of combination stalk switch and interfaced to the BCM. If the IGN is on and headlamps are ON and if user put the combi switch to auto position, low beams, Position lamps will turn ON, if RLS sensor gives activation input. Preliminary Checks: 3. Check Battery Voltage (12.5 V and above) 4. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage. Trouble Shooting:-
