ELECTRICAL 184 7. REAR DEFOG CONTROL 7.1 Description The Heated Rear Window aims at clearing the rear window glass from fogging. The Rear Defog push button shall be used to manually switch ON/OFF the rear defog heater grids on the rear window. Following variants, for Rear Defog Window are implemented: 1. FATC Variant: i) The switch for activating the Rear Defog control is located on FATC control panel. ii) ON state indication LED is provided for Rear Defog switch, FATC shall control this LED. 2. ETC Variant: i) The switch for activating the Rear Defog control is located on FACIA switch bank ii) ON state indication LED is provided for Rear Defog switch, which will be driven by HRW relay. After ignition ON, the default value of the Rear defogger shall be OFF on both BCM & FATC control panel. The Rear defogger function shall work independent of the position of the blower switch (ON/OFF).
