ELECTRICAL 180 5.4 REMOTE LOCKING / UNLOCKING 5.4.1 Description RKE is a convenience feature allowing the user to remotely activate security & convenience functions via coded Radio Frequency transmissions from a remote transmitter. The remote transmitter is either a separate key fob or integrated with the vehicle key. There can be differing number of buttons on the remote key. The RKE feature allows locking/unlocking of all the doors remotely using key fob. This section also describes different configurations of remote key and features like vehicle seek, forced panic mode. 5.4.2 Conditional Requirements Vehicle Seek/Locate - This feature shall be activated by BCM when, vehicle is already in successfully locked condition with flasher feedback. And valid lock command is received through RKE Note : There is no long press functionality in BCM; it is the normal remote button press i.e. simple like lock button press. If user presses the button for a long time then BCM shall take the input and do the respective operation and after ignore the button press data. When this feature is active, both turn signals shall flash for 4 counts and vehicle shall continue to be kept in locked state and shall not actuate the actuators. Forced Panic Mode- This feature shall be activated by BCM when it receives valid "Forced Panic" command from RF receiver. This command is issued by remote when lock and unlock buttons are pressed and hold simultaneously. When this feature is active BCM shall flash both turn signals and blow horn with 1Hz frequency. The Horn and flasher shall operate in synchronization. 5.4.3 Operating Voltage Range DESCRIPTION REQUIREMENT VOLTAGE Remote Locking / Unlocking Normal operating voltage 12V Min operating voltage to operate the force panic 7V 5.4.4 Inputs & Outputs
