STEERING 26 wear Suspension bottoms 1. Vehicle overloaded 2. Damaged bump stopper 3. Springs set permanently broken / sagging 4. Faulty strut assembly 1. Check loading 2. Replace bump stopper 3. Replace springs 4. Replace strut assembly Too much play in steering 1. Steering wheel loose on the shaft. 2. Loose connection between rack. 3. Steering linkages loose or worn out. 4. Check steering wheel serrations 1. Adjust and tighten steering wheel nut to specified torque. 2. Tighten or repair. 3. Replace worn out parts. 4. Replace Cupped tyres 1. Excessive tyre or wheel run out. 2. Tyres out of balance 1.Replace wheel or tyre 2. Adjust, balance or replace tyre Hard steering 1. Disturbed toe 2. Rack and pinion movement binding 3. Tyres not adequately inflated 4. Bind in steering column 5. Bind in tie rod end ball studs or lower ball joints 6. Vehicle overloaded 7. Oversized tyres 8. Rubber bellows on RPS assembly disturbed or stuck up 9. RPS yoke screw over tightened 10. Loose EPAS ECU connectors 11. Repeatedly or abuse steering from right to left. 12. DTC error. 1. Check and adjust toe. 2. Check and adjust rack and pinion torque. Repair or replace 3. Adjust and correct tyre pressures 4. Repair or replace 5. Replace tie rod end or lower arm 6. Check the load 7. Replace tyres with correct specifications 8. Correct the disturbed or stuck up bellows 9. Tighten to specified torque 10. Check the EPAS ECU connections. 11. Switch off the ignition switch and restart after 5 min. 12. Clear DTC error. Abnormal noise, front end. 1. Worn, sticky or loose tie rod ends, lower ball joints or tie rod end ball joints 2.Damaged strut assembly 3.Worn lower arm bushing 4.Loose wheel bolts 5.Loose suspension fasteners 6.Broken or damaged wheel bearings 7. Broken suspension spring 1.Replace worn out joints or components 2.Repair or replace 3.Replace worn bushes 4.Tighten wheel bolts to specified torque 5. Tighten all suspension fasteners to specified torque 6.Replace wheel bearings 7. Replace spring
