DRIVETRAIN-TA65 Star 66 5.7. Q: REMOVAL OF GEAR SHIFTER HOUSING, GEAR SHIFTER AND SELECTOR CABLE: 1. Ensure the gear lever in neutral condition. 2. Remove the central floor console after removing the lever knob, washer, cap screw and base plate NOTE: For removal of central console refer BODY group of BOLT. 3. Remove the lock pin and pry out the shifter cable as shown figures. 4. Loosen/remove selector cable fastener to remove selector cable. 5. Pry out both the cable lock plates and remove the cables from assembly gear shift housing. 6. Unscrew the four bolts of gear shifter lever housing to remove it.
