ELECTRICAL 158 D.AUDIABLE WARNING: Audible warnings are either alerts or reminders. Alerts are used to inform the driver of vehicle events; reminders to inform them about actions they wish to correct. The following audible warnings are present (in order of priority) • Direction Indicator Feedback (Described in the Hazard Warning section): Tick tock relay. • Seat Belt Warning (Described in the Seat Belt Warning section) • Lights On Warning • Key In Warning INPUT/OUTPUT DIAGRAM: SIGNAL LEVEL TYPE Ignition switch High Input Parking switch High Input Set belt switch High Input Key-In S/W High Input Driver Door switch Low Input Exterior light staus High Input Buzzer Low Output Seat belt LED Low Output a. Lights on warning: Lights on warning are only active in Vehicle Power State OFF. If the vehicle exterior lights are illuminated (side lights or dip beam) and the drivers door is open through the parking or head lamps switch input then the buzzer will sound continuously to warn the driver that the lights are on. The buzzer is cancelled when: • The lights are switched off. • The driver door is closed. • Vehicle Power State changes to KEY IN sensor ACCESSORY, IGNITION, RUN or CRANK. Lights on warning are only activated when parking lights or dip beam get activated though head lamp switch inputs to BCM. b. Key In warning: Key In warning is only active in Vehicle Power State OFF. If the key in switch indicates that the key is in the ignition and the driver’s door is open, the buzzer will sound continuously with 2.5Hz to warn the driver that the key is in the ignition.
