STEERING 34 A. STEERING RESERVOIR REMOVAL 1. Drain the power steering oil. (For procedure refer oil replacement procedure in this section.) 2. Loosen and remove the mounting bolt and take out the sleeve/spacer, then remove mounting bolts of the bracket holding the reservoir with the BIW. 3. Remove the spring band clamp and disconnect the suction line and the return line from the res- ervoir end. 4. Take out the reservoir assembly. NOTE Plug holes of both reservoir and lines to avoid en- trance of dirt and contamination. FITMENT For fitment follow reverse procedure of removal. B. POWER STEERING PUMP REMOVAL 1. Drain the power steering oil. (For procedure refer power steering oil replacement in this section.) 2. Remove power steering pump belt. (For proce- dure refer Alternator Belt removal in Engine section.) 3. Disconnect the hoses from the power steering pump. 4. Lock the power steering pump pulley, using a screw driver and loosen the pulley mounting bolts. 5. Remove pulley mounting bolts (1) along with spring washer (3 Nos.) and remove the pulley (2).
