BRAKES 54 DISMANTLING NOTE To overhaul caliper assembly, the carrier assembly need not be removed from the vehicle. (Refer the note at the end of caliper assembly with carrier removal in this section.) 1. Remove the caliper pads. (For procedure refer caliper pad replacement process in this section.) 2. Remove the front Caliper assembly from the vehicle. (For procedure refer caliper assembly removal process in this section.) 3. Loosen and remove the pin bolts. 4. Separate the caliper housing from the carrier. 5. Remove the sliding pin boot along with the sliding pin from the carrier and separate the sliding pin boot and the sliding pin. 6. Pull out the anti rattle clip from the carrier.
