ENGINE. 27 ENGINE B. OIL FILTER REPLACEMENT 1. Turn the front wheel to the extreme right and se- cure the vehicle using chokes. NOTE 4x2 vehicle oil filter can also be accessed from bot- tom of vehicle. 2. Remove the inner wheel arc liner. 3. Approach from behind the wheel to the oil filter 4. Rotate the Oil filter (1) in the anti-clockwise direc- tion using the Oil filter spanner. FITMENT Fit the oil filter by rotating it till the rubber seal makes contact with the oil cooler. After that rotate it by 7/8 th turn to 1 turn using the oil filter spanner. (Part No 2870 5890 18 04 for M/S FLEETGUARD Oil filter & 2870 5890 18 05 for M/S MAHLE Oil filter). ! CAUTION Do not over tighten the oil filter, as over tightening may cause damage to the filter, which may in turn result in oil leakage from it. C. AIR FILTER ELEMENT CLEANING & REPLACEMANT 1. Loosen and remove the mounting screws of air filter cover. 2. Lift the air filter cover along with hose. 3. Remove the air filter element. NOTE • Check for any damage in the air filter element which may result in intrusion of unfiltered air. If found replace the air filter element assembly • Check for any cracks in the air filter housing and cover which may result in intrusion of unfiltered air. If found replace the air filter assembly. • If the service indicator red band appears then replace the air filter element. FITMENT • For fitment follow the reverse order of removal. • Clean the interior of the air filter element housing using a clean cloth.
