GEAR BOX 6450 29 46. Remove the 3 rd gear sub assembly along with needle cage bearing. 47. Remove the remaining 1 st and 2 nd gears from Main shaft by using the ring tool (Tool No: 5403 5890 26 11) with the help of press machine. NOTE: Shaft assembly to rest on ring supported on 2 nd gear and press from rear end of main shaft. 48. Remove the intermediate plate with its roller bearings. NOTE: Proper care to be taken while removing the (4No’s) cross counter sunk screws. 49. Remove the counter shaft roller bearing by using proper drift and the main shaft taper roller bearing by using proper drift. NOTE: Bearings need to be replaced if found damaged.
