GEAR BOX 6450 13 2.3 ON VEHICLE PROCEDURE: A. GEARBOX REMOVAL: 1. Drain the Gearbox oil. 2. Remove the propeller shaft (Refer Propeller shaft removal procedure). In case of 4X4 vehicle remove the Transfer case (Refer Transfer case removal procedure). 3. Remove the Gear shifter knob and bellow (Refer Gear shifter knob removal procedure). 4. Disconnect the reverse light switch connection. 5. Remove the vehicle speed sensor connection (if fitted). 6. Remove starter motor (Refer Starter motor removal procedure). 7. Disconnect the earthing cable. 8. Drain clutch fluid from system. 9. Remove the high-pressure pipe (HPP) from bleeder adaptor. NOTE: Precautions to be taken to avoid dust / dirt entry in open port of HPP and bleeder adaptor. 10.Support the Clutch housing and gearbox mounting cross member from below. 11. Loosen and remove the clutch housing mounting bolts from engine. 12.Disconnect wiring clips on the gearbox mounting cross member. 13.Loosen and remove mounting bolts on rear side of the gearbox mounting cross member. 14.Loosen and remove mounting bolts on front side of the gearbox mounting cross member.
