BODY 51 BODY REMOVAL 1. Open the tail gate. 2. Pull out the lower access panel cover of rear quarter trim to access tail gate wiring harness. 3. Disconnect the tail gate wiring harness and pull out from body shell end. 4. Support the tailgate assembly and unlock balancer as shown below and by pulling in downward direction remove balancer from tail gate end. 5. Remove tail gate trim to access mounting bolts remove tail gate trim (for procedure refer tail gate removal procedure in this section) 6. Loosen and remove four mounting four mounting bolts and carefully separate the tail gate from body shell. 7. Remove the right hand side tail lamp assembly to access door hinges (for procedure refer tail lamp removal in Electrical section ) FITMENT For fitment follow the reverse procedure of removal. NOTE Ensure proper tightening torque is given to the hinges of tailgate. For torque value refer to the tightening torque table.
