REMOVAL OF INSTRUMENT CLUSTER:
WARNING
•
Remove the key from key barrel. This is
necessary to ensure proper initialization of
Instrument Cluster Parameters like Odometer
value learning from Immobilizer and DTCs in
other ECUs against Instrument Cluster.
•
Removing Instrument Cluster with Key IN is
strictly prohibited otherwise it will corrupt the
odometer value.
1. Remove cluster hood gently from its position
by using screw driver.
2. Remove steering wheel. (Refer “Removal &
refitment of steering wheel" from Steering
Section.)
3. Remove steering nacelle Lower. (Refer
“Removal & Refitment of steering nacelle"
from Steering Section.)
4. Lower steering column from top mounting to
access lower mounting of Instrument cluster.
(Refer Steering section).
5. Loosen the lower mounting screw of the
instrument cluster.
6. Loosen the mounting screw of the instrument
cluster cover
7. Now remove the upper mounting screws of
the instrument cluster.
8. Remove
Instrument
cluster
electrical
connections.
9. Remove Instrument cluster
REFITMENT
Follow the procedure in reverse order for fitment.
WARNING
•
Swapping to analyze cluster defect:
It is strictly prohibited to swap clusters for defect
analysis from vehicles or from available stock.
Due to immobilizer Odometer learning strategy,
cluster odometer value will change permanently
to a higher value. For defect analysis, use
Diagnostics Tool or ETC (Engineering Test
