LOCATION:

It is located on the steering wheel.

REMOVAL:

1. Remove steering wheel. Refer “Removal &

Refitment of steering wheel" from Steering

Section

2. Pull out and unlock the front cover of the

steering wheel.

3. Pull out the horn pad of wheel.

4. Remove electrical connections.

5. Take out the switches.

INSTALLATION:

1. Locate the switches on the steering wheel.

2. Fit the bottom cover of steering wheel.

3. Fit the steering wheel.

25. IGNITION E-KEY ( If Applicable )

An E-Key is an electronic access and

authorization system which is provided as a

standard feature on your vehicle. Vehicle is

provided with two E-Keys. Each Key is specific to

the immobilizer of vehicle.

FUNCTIONAL DETAILS

1. Lock

2. Unlock

3. Trunk open

4. Tailgate (Press follow-me button for 2sec)

Unlocking principle:

The transponder, which is built into the ignition E-

Key, carries a unique identification code. The

vehicle unlocks when the code on the E-Key

matches with the code on the Engine

Management system (EMS).

Engine Starting:

When the key is inserted and the ignition is

switched ON, all codes are communicated within

concerned components (E-Key, Immobilizer and

EMS). The engine will start only if all the codes

match.

KEY SPECIFICATION

1. Operating temperature range (with battery): -

10C to +60C.

2. Operating temperature range (without battery-

external power supply): -40 C to +85 C.

3. Storage temperature range (without battery): -

40C to +85C.

4. Remote operating voltage range: 2.53 to 3.2V.

5. LED Blinking: Normal condition - 20ms blink,

Low battery - 5blinks@10Hz after button

release

6. Force required opening Battery Cover from

RKE: Min. 30 N.

7. Remote power @ 3 meter from Antenna: -

12dBm.

8. Carrier frequency with deviation: 433.92 MHz

+- 75 KHz.
