1.2L REVOTRON ENGINE

47

5. Once the gauge has reached the desired

vacuum level and there is no drop in gauge

reading, turn the refill valve (red lever) on and

the coolant will start to fill the cooling system.

A system without a vacuum leak will fill in

about 3 to 4 minutes.

CAUTION

If the refill tube end comes out of the coolant

during the refill process, air will be pulled

into the system and the entire procedure will

need to be repeated. Kindly ensure to

maintain sufficient amount of coolant in the

container to avoid this issue.

6. Once the vacuum gauge reaches “0”, turn

refill valve off (red lever), check the amount

of coolant was added to system, if necessary

top-up the coolant to the specified level and

refit the pressure cap.

7. Start the engine and run until normal

operating temperature is reached. Allow to

cool and top-up coolant if necessary.

NOTE

If the amount of coolant specified for the

vehicle was not added to the system, repeat

the procedure from step 1.

METHOD 2

1. Vehicle condition And Parking.

Park the vehicle on flat level surface.

Allow the vehicle to cool down to workable

temperature (preferably to ambient

temperature).

Place ta clean tray just below the drain plug

located at bottom of radiator.

2. Drain coolant from radiator.

Open the pressure cap & drain plug and

allow the coolant to drain out into the

container.

Blow in the pressurized air through

pressure cap opening till all the coolant is

drain out & close pressure cap.

3. Remove coolant from water pump, heater

and cooling system hoses.

Open the heater top hose & blow

pressurized air in the heater top hose

thermostat side (block the heater inlet part

towards heater coil with the help of plug).

Repeat same operation in reverse direction

(heater inlet towards heater coil side air will

be blown & thermostat side will be closed).

Connect the heater top hose. Close the

drain plug.

4. Initial coolant filling through pressure cap
