6.10 REMOVAL OF INSTRUMENT CLUSTER:
WARNING
Remove the key from key barrel. This is
necessary to ensure proper initialization of
Instrument Cluster Parameters like Odometer
value learning from Immobilizer and DTCs in
other ECUs against Instrument Cluster.
Removing Instrument Cluster with Key IN is
strictly prohibited otherwise it will corrupt the
odometer value.
1. Remove cluster hood gently from its position
by using screw driver.
2. Tilt down the lower level steering wheel.
3. Carefully pull the steering column upper cover.
4. Lower steering column from top mounting to
access lower mounting of Instrument cluster.
5. Loosen the lower mounting screw of the
instrument cluster.
NOTE:
Only loose screws and keep in their position, Do
not take out.
6. Now remove the upper mounting screws of
the instrument cluster.
7. Remove
Instrument
cluster
electrical
connections.
8. Remove Instrument cluster
REFITMENT
Follow above procedure in reverse for fitment.
WARNING
Swapping to analyze cluster defect:
It is strictly prohibited to swap clusters for defect
analysis from vehicles or from available stock.
Due to BCM / PEPS Odometer learning strategy,
cluster odometer value will change permanently
to a higher value. For defect analysis, use
Diagnostics Tool or ETC (Engineering Test
MODE).
