2.1 Day Time Running Lights

2.1.1 Description

This feature is used to increase the visibility of the vehicle to other drivers during daytime. The daytime

running lights are positioned on the front of the vehicle. For safety benefit, daytime running light is

compulsory in many countries.

2.1.2 Conditional Requirements

Activation –

Ignition is ON OR Engine is in Run mode

Headlamps and position lamps are OFF

Deactivation –

Headlamps are ON or

Position lamps are ON or

Ignition is not in ON / Crank position and Engine is not running or

DRL switch on Head unit is disabled

DRL is ON & Turn indicator input recived , then DRL will turn OFF & turn indicator turned ON.

Tell-tale Indication –

• DRL LED ON IC is illuminated

On Fault –

Respective DTC logged.
